PAX House believes recovery is strengthened when communities work together. This is just the beginning of our growing network of collaborations. We are proud to highlight the organizations we currently work with and look forward to developing new partnerships that expand resources, strengthen services, and create lasting opportunities for the individuals and communities we serve.
PAX House Recovery in collaboration with A Child’s Dream – Altadena will host Wellbriety 12-Step Recovery Meetings; as well as, Culturally Focused SUD Treatment Services and Culturally Grounded Peer Support in order to promote the recovery of Indigenous Persons in our community.
PAX House Recovery is proud to partner with A Child’s Dream – Altadena in offering a monthly Wellbriety Circle, available in both in-person and hybrid formats. The partnership between Pax House and A Child’s Dream – Altadena will host Wellbriety 12-Step Recovery Meetings as well as culturally grounded peer support and recovery resources for Native Indigenous community members. This initiative is based on deep respect for the cultures, traditions, and wisdom of Native and Indigenous communities. The Circle provides a welcoming space for participants to learn, connect, and reflect. Through traditional Wellbriety–White Bison teachings, participants explore recovery through balance, healing, and community. Everyone is welcome to participate with openness, humility, and respect.
In addition to hosting monthly Wellbriety Circles, PAX House Recovery has onboarded specialized staff to integrate culturally appropriate IOP/OP substance use disorder treatment services. While our Indigenous Persons focused IOP/OP SUD treatment services maintain the traditional PAX House Recovery model rooted in evidence-based modality, these focused services pair the traditional SUD treatment curriculum with the Wellbriety model which addresses addiction, intergenerational trauma, and whole-person health for the indigenous persons of our community who are seeking relief from active addiction. For program admission inquiries, please contact our intake coordinator via telephone (626) 398-3897 during normal business hours or fill out the online pre-screening by clicking here.

A Child’s Dream Altadena
A Message from our Partner
“At A Child’s Dream – Altadena, we believe communities already carry the wisdom to heal. Guided by the Four Directions, we walk beside parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, caregivers, and neighbors through culturally led peer support that honors each person’s journey. We believe this reflects the Indigenous teaching of being a good relative—that we belong to one another, are all connected, and grow stronger as families and communities heal together.”
A Child’s Dream Altadena Partherhsip with PAX House Recovery
A Child’s Dream – Altadena is honored to partner with PAX House to expand access to culturally led recovery, peer support, and community healing for Native and Indigenous community members, while welcoming all who seek healing with openness, humility, and respect. Through this partnership, we support Native outreach, community engagement, peer support, and culturally rooted healing circles guided by the teachings of the Four Directions and Wellbriety. Together, we cultivate spaces where adults reconnect with culture, strengthen relationships, restore belonging, and walk alongside one another on the journey toward recovery, wellness, and lifelong healing.
About A Child’s Dream
A Child’s Dream – Altadena is an Indigenous-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to strengthening communities by investing in the people who care for them. We believe parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, caregivers, and neighbors are the heart of healthy communities, and that lasting change begins through connection, culture, and shared responsibility.
Our work is guided by the Four Directions:
East – Healing: We cultivate belonging through culturally rooted healing, peer support, community circles, and meaningful relationships.
South – Growth: We nurture leadership, lifelong learning, mutual support, and opportunities for individuals and communities to flourish.
West – Vision: We work collectively to strengthen communities, restore hope, and create pathways where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
North – Wisdom: We honor lived experience, ancestral teachings, cultural knowledge, and the wisdom carried by families, Elders, and communities.
Through culturally led community support and engagement, peer support, leadership development, advocacy, prevention, and community education, we walk alongside community members to strengthen relationships, restore belonging, and cultivate healthy, resilient communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
